All about the VAT
88p – odd number, right?
We agree, but it’s for good reason. The Government has given us and all the other pubs a temporary reduction in the VAT on children’s mealss, meaning it’s only 5% from the 25th of June to the 1st of September 2026. Mint, right?
So, that means all the kids’ meals and kids’ drinks on our menu that qualify for the reduction will be yours for the taking at a cheaper price than usual. And, our fabulous Kids Eat For £1 offer is ALSO discounted, so it’s only gonna cost 88p to feed your mini-me this summer.
Don’t worry, you’ve not got to do anything different. The discount will come of automatically. Sorted.
What's included?
The temporary reduction applies to:
- Children's meals listed on our kids' menus.
- Kids Eat For £1 offer. This is now Kids Eat For 88p.
- Additional courses purchased as part of a qualifying children's meal deal, including eligible desserts and drinks.
- Children's drinks listed on our kids' menus, including: Fruit Shoot, Innocent Water, Ribena, glass of milk, Yazoo, and fruit juice (standard serve).
What's not included?
The following drinks/offers are excluded from the reduction:
- Cordials
- Carbonated soft drinks

Our kids eat for 88p offer is available all day long, Monday to Friday, from the 20th of July until the 28th of August.
You can get one little appetites meal, a dessert AND a drink for 88p with one paying adult – and the best part? To claim your kids' meal deal, all you have to do is order! Oh, and if your little one's feeling a bit hungrier, you can upgrade to one of our bigger appetites meals (with a dessert and a drink) for £1.31.
But, 'What's the catch?' you ask? There is none! Just good old-fashioned, cracking value for money and happy little ones with full bellies. How about that?
